Ok this time it’s for real. I tried to convince myself to sell her back in 2019, but couldn’t let her go. Since then She has got even better with age. I have done a lot of preventative maintenance and small modifications to make her better each year she grows older.

As described in my previous attempt to part ways with her. She was our family river runner for a few years, but since we sold the Havasu house and boat we havent been using it much. It is very clean with about 156,000 miles on the clock. She runs and shifts perfectly. Engine is the best Powerstroke ever produced. The 7.3L turbo diesel is basically stock. This year i spent a lot of time replacing older parts as a preventative measure to guarantee reliability. We started off by replacing the turbo up pipes. We chose the RIFF RAFF stainless steel pipes. We also added the RIFF RAFF turbo impeller, and Turbosmart wastegate actuator. We finished it off by changing all the vacuum lines in relation to the turbo. Then to ensure there were no leaks on the top of the engine we replaced the hard fuel lines with the RIFF RAFF stainless steel lines. We also installed the RIFF RAFF crossover to prevent the common fuel starvation issues associated with the 7.3L powerstroke #8 injector. To finish the job off we replaced the old high pressure oil pump lines with a set of fresh international harvester stainless braided lines. Simply because of the age we moved to the rear of the truck and dropped the fuel tank. We replaced the 2 filter cartridges that are known to steal fuel pressure. Off course OEM Motorcraft parts were used. We also replaced the rubber hose and filter at the bottom of the fuel pick-up/sending unit.

The transmission is very healthy and has been serviced every 15,000 miles. The transcooler was upgraded to the Mishimoto 6.0 oversized unit.

Interior is all original except Kenwood DVD/Navigation W/ back up camera.

The suspension system has been upgraded to a 2" custom lift. Parts from Carli suspension, PMF Fabrication, and ICON were used. Atlas front and rear spring packs. She sits on 17" method NVs and BFG KO2 35" tires. She also has a full KO2 spare mounted to a Method NV which sits the in the factory trunk position. A Red head steering box was added as well as dynatrac billet ball joints. Brake pads are upgraded and all rotors were upgraded to SSBC slotted. Finished off with a stainless steel brake line kit.

The bad. She has typical 2000s ford paint. only problem area is two of the door jambs which was touched up by me.

The roof was professionally repainted this year, and a 2005 grill was also painted and installed.

She tracks straight and rides very smooth compared to most solid axle leaf sprung trucks. The asking price is 35,000 or best offer. All serious offers will be considered.

Please, serious buyers only.

SIDE NOTE: The Thule Racks Are included but the ROAM awning is NOT.

Thanks… of course the price is negotiable. But I’ve put a lot of time into this truck making sure it’s safe to travel in any condition. Reliability isn’t really a problem with the 7.3L. Even so I really have gone the extra mile in making it better than factory. I truly love this truck, but unfortunately I can’t justify keeping it anymore.

But for less than 40k good luck buying anything decent that’s reliable, can tow, haul 7+ people, hold 6 large luggage bags, is 4x4, and is super COOL!

My brother in law has one of these that he will probably be buried in. His has like 260k miles only major repair has been replacing the turbo.

Ford is crazy for not bringing them back. Not sure I would be able to afford one.

Love it. Just did a lot of the same work to mine and it runs so nice. It was a RiffRaff Christmas at my house.
RiffRaff reAlly makes nice stuff. And they keep coming out with new stuff.

I have a spare alternator if your interested. It’s a high output alternator and cable kit. Custom made for the 7.3L Powerstroke by a company called “DC POWER”. I always keep hard to get custom order parts on stand by to eliminate down time in the event there was a malfunction.

I have some other parts new never used parts from Riff Raff if your interested I’ll sell them at discounted price of courses

Lots of great work done to make this truck rock solid, If I were you I would also place an ad in Facebook Market Place, they have a lot of bullcrap and scammers on the site selling stuff but people all over the US look at the vehicle ads on there and for some reason the last 3 vehicles I sold were sold through FB MarketP and for TOP DOLLAR without negotiations and first people that responded bought each of them, full price offers, one guy came out from Ohio, other from Kansas, other from east AZ. Just a thought to get the most exposure...I think you will get your asking without OBO....Good Luck with the sale.

Will do! I appreciate the advice.

Truck is getting detailed in the morning so more photos should be up on Sunday.

I forgot to mention that ever since the truck hit 100,000 miles I have been servicing the front, rear differentials, and transfer case every 25,000 miles. Every 3,000 miles the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter is changed. It’s a small cost to ensure clean fuel, and clean oil runs through the HPOP and Injectors.

Did you install those bellowed up-pipes yourself? Back in 2008, I got a quote from Ford before I did mine and Ford wanted $1,400.

They’re not too bad to do yourself if you’re mechanically inclined. But I also had the turbo and everything in the valley removed. A topside creeper is also extremely helpful.

Please note the attention to detail in this family rig...
CD386A5F-2495-437F-AD90-CAF683A9C842.png
look at the spare tire, jumper cables, how clean it is and especially the the tie down straps. Just amazing. If somebody doesn’t scoop this up quick I’ll be surprised.

So for those wondering. This truck has a lot of high end parts that I’ve put on as preventative maintenance over the years. I’ve focused more on reliability up to this point then I have on cool bumpers and lights.

The suspension is a 2.25” hybrid system.

Suspension/steering
Carli suspension & icon suspension parts were mainly used with exception of Atlas Front and rear full leaf packs.
Billet dyna-trac rebuildable ball joints, and a REDHEAD steering gear (best in the business)

Brakes:
Stainless steel brake company over sized slotted rotters with heavy duty pads. Also replaced the factory rubber brake lines with PMF extended stainless steel braided lines.

Transmission/drive axles:
Replaced the stock 9 row trans cooler with a Mishimoto over sized 37 row transmission cooler. Changed the axle seals and wheel bearings 3 years ago along with all the abs sensors. Then added ONEUP Off-road front and rear diff covers using all ARP stainless hardware.

Engine:
RiffRaff stainless up pipes
-FRx stainless steel lines upgrade
-HPX stainless steel lines upgrade
-New Fuel Bowl and hardware
-Plenum Boots
-Billet Plenum Inserts (prevents common leaks by strengthening the plenum boots)
-Stainless steel Fuel Lines
-Billet turbo impeller.
-new vacuum pump.
Turbo smart waste-gate

I wish you would’ve sold it to me last time or when I texted you six months later! Lol then you sent me the pictures of the upgrades and said it was your forever truck!

And now this!

Someone buy this!

Very nice, I do like the excursions
I think there is still a market for excursion/suburban SUVs on 3/4 ton truck chassis.
I guess if they do make something again it will be electric?
