We've decided to hang up the off road toys for awhile so I'm letting go of my explorer.

Front Suspension -
Dixon Brothers Upper and Boxed Lower Control Arms.
Dixon Brothers Heimed Steering Kit
Dixon Brothers Custom 930 CV Axles ADS 2.5” coil over shocks w/ 16” King 700# Coils
ADS 2.5” Triple Bypass Shocks
Custom shock tower/engine Cage tied into internal cage
Custom lower control arm support brace w/ integrated skid plate

Rear Suspension-
Giant 64 Kit (Springs, hangers, shackles, & u-bolt plates) ADS triple bypass shocks
Shocks and springs mounted outside factory frame
Frame notched to allow additional bump travel

Drivetrain-

4.0 SOHC V6 and 5 speed manual transmission from a 2002 Ranger with 135K miles.
New fabricated 9" rear end from Giant with huge 35 spline Dutchman axles and Wilwood disc brakes. Rear end is new with less than 500 miles on it.
4:88 gears front and rear.
Detroit locker in rear.
BW 1354 manual shift transfer case swap

New Method wheels with 35" Yokohama M/T tires. 2 new matching spares.

Baker front glass with Fiberwerx Rear. (6" over)

Interior-

Full safety cage 1.75” with some 1.5” support
2 – MasterCraft Baja RS reclining off-road seats on factory sliders in front, PRP bench seat in rear.
PRP harnesses all round
Cargo area cut and tubbed to allow for wheel travel and mounting of shocks outside the cabin
Bolt in carpeted rear cargo shelf
Swing up mount for two 2 – gallon RotoPax water containers
The headliner, carpet and majority of factory interior has been re-installed
Alpine head unit with CD and USB support
Rugged Radio and intercom with headsets
Cab is well sealed and virtually dust-free.
A/C and heat work great, which means your wife will love it!
Overall very well built and very capable, keeps up easily with all but the fastest of groups. People are constantly surprised how fast it is offroad and it gets tons of compliments.
Currently street registered and insured.

This has been a great rig and was always reliable until 3 weeks ago in Death Valley it developed an electrical issue which causes it to randomly and intermittently shut off for no reason. I've driven it around the neighborhood several times since and can't make it repeat the shut down so who knows what it is. It's currently running so you can test drive it. I don't have the time to chase it out so I am selling it cheap AS-IS. Looking for $9500.00 OBO Will deliver if needed. 6 1 9 8 5 5 2 2 1 0.

Some of the pics are with the old wheels/tires.

I might know of someone interested and have sent it to them

Street legal?
Spool rear end?

not many explorer pre-runners out there this should go quick.

I would've been all over this one had I not bought mine

Damn this looks great. Had this been for sale a couple months ago I'd be writing you a check.

Thx! Detroit locker in the rear, currently plated in CA.

I shared it to a few people I know that were in the hunt for mine when I bought it. So expect some phone calls. [emoji106]

Solid package, with an honest seller. This is a steal at his asking price. Somebody will get lots of smiles per dollar. BTW, ADS shocks are essentially a King knock off. Pretty good product for the price.

I bought it from the guy who built it in Tuscon. He had all the cage work done by a shop there, then did most of the mechanical work himself. The fab work is solid, I've run the crap out of this rig for three seasons and it has never let me down. I've taken very good care of it...The rear end is all new, the bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, and wheel bearings were all replaced at the end of last season and have about 500 miles on them now. I change the oil every trip. I've done 3 San Felipe runs, Mojave Trail, Death Valley, Yuma to Parker several times, and countless Superstition weekends. Once the electrical issue is taken care of, I wouldn't hesitate to head to Cabo with it....It's been that reliable. My # is in my add above, if you want interior pics text me.

I've been nothing but impressed with the ADS shocks. My only complaint would be the check valves in the bypasses are really loud even mounted outside the cab. No big deal with the headsets on but pretty loud without headsets, which is too bad because the truck is really quiet inside otherwise.
