EZ is starting a go fund me lol
Owner bought 2 and never rode one or even registered it.
Bidding went up $12,000 in first couple hours.
Would you ride it or keep it in the crate?
I'll guess reserve is set at $40,000.

I'm not a rider so I would keep it in the crate. 7-8 years ago BJ sold a Model T still in the crate, went for a bunch of money

That's a great bike.For it's time.Classic for sure.Those Tokico Calipers are funny.....But for that scratch,I'd rather have these:

I'm partial to the Blue I ride an FZ 09...

Such a great bike… Loved mine
It's an awesome ride, I have done everything possible to make is faster w/ the exception of a Turbo🤣 Had it reflashed again By Vcyclenutt just recentlty, really opened it up. The forks and spring were done immediately after purchase. I wanted a Monster but this thing was 5K OTD in 17.

That H2R is the non street version.
Has to be a blast to ride but my 14R still scares the crap out of me and it's less hp and more weight

I would do stand up wheelies at 90, the thing never stops building power. All I did was I added an M4 exhaust. It needed ECU programming for sure. I’ll get another one eventually

M4 as well -Wife couldn't understand why I was sawzalling a brand new bike muffler off .That stock exhaust was 14 lbs and had a godamn cat in it. SMH put Braided Brake Lines all around, what a difference👍 Third gear on it is Magical at big REVS

I'd love to have this, but I'd be out of a License or worse If I did.

Haha I used a Chop saw and threw the Cat in the trash. It really needed better suspension, I’ll eventually buy another FZ-09.

The Ninja! Those were the days.

And this one is a K model, built for homologation in AMA Superbike competition. That's rare.

Your guess was on the nose! The bid jumped from $25K to $40K in one shot, and the reserve was met. That guy obviously wants the bike.

The bidder actually put down a larger amount than $40K. The auction is structured so a bid above the reserve is displayed as the reserve amount. When higher bids are made, his bid will automatically exceed them up to the actual dollar amount he bid. Looks like it's gonna be a war for the win.

Great bike at the time but I still preferred the gsxr 750. I had an 89,91,and an 01.

My 89 saw some track time at willow. Was fun bike but my 01 was favorite. Love to get another one someday but imo the 750 was the perfect size and in a class by itself often kicking bigger bikes asses.

Dang! Your wife rode a 14R?
Pics of wife:p
I'll admit the 14 wouldn't be my first choice for canyon running but it does fine in the right hands .

When the 2000s came out they were lighter and they also had the 1000 gixxer it was a beast but only problem only a few could use that power to it’s advantage. The 750 was useable with some to spare. I tried to pass a guy coming out of corner he held me up all the time finally went on his inside after having enough on Angeles crest he shot by me on short straight away only to overshoot the next curve couldn’t slow it down. 🙈🙈 minutes before he was telling me I should have got the 1000 given the chance. Now put one of them few riders on it would have chewed me up.

Wow. Pretty pricey.

I guess sometimes you have to have what you want to have..

Coincidentally, I’ve been looking for a decent reasonably priced used street bike to ride this summer and ended up winning the 2009 Buell 1125CR on the same site on the same day. 146 HP Rotax motor at 375 lbs total. Has enough miles on it to assume the known stator and clutch issues have been addressed. Seems like a good value. Picking it up tomorrow.

Thank you OP for sharing the auction page. Wouldn’t have seen it with out this thread.

As soon as I saw the thread title, I had visions of blue and green and those awesome air intakes...I remember they used to sell fake kits for other bike models just to have that look...I was never a Kawi fan, I rode GSXR's my whole riding life (stopped riding about 8 years ago now)...but I did always like this ZX-7 model.

I met my wife while out on a group ride 16 years ago...she showed up on her Yamaha R6 she had just bought and taught herself how to ride, we were going for a canyon ride out to Topanga Canyon and she was very nervous, I stayed in the back of the pack with her just having her follow my lead at a slow pace...2 weeks later we went on a ride together and I wadded up my GSXR on the 57 fwy right in front of Angel Stadium...spent the next few weeks recovering on the floor of her apartment and we have been together ever since...rebuilt that bike and rode it for a few years after...we still have her R6 in the garage

No thanks, my 610 Husky is to much of a ticket printer. That think would surely have me jailed.

If anybody finds one of these still in the crate or absolutely showroom mint shape, I will mortgage the farm to buy it. My first and only road bike. Oh, to be 17 again.😎
