Had a customer come in and order this thing and its huge. First time ever seeing one and thought it was pretty cool, looks like the size of a small outboard motor, I couldn't imagine lugging this thing around all day.

Haha....that's a little more than a line trimmer. If you've got heavy brush cutting to do where you can't get access with cutter/tractor it's worth the $1500.

thats why God created Echo
Echo is a POS. My dad bought an Echo leaf blower and that shit box overheated and seized within 1/2 tank. The Stihl that he replaced it with is a little harder to get started but it's 30-40 tanks deep and still going strong and never failed to start by pull 5.

I have been cutting all sorts of huge weeds down with my echo.....no problems at all.

Also just bought a gas powered hedge trimmer by echo and no problems with that either.

That stihl on here looks bad ass and would buy one IF I was staying here. Lots of thick bushes, tree stems you could take out with that thing.

Stihl products are awesome. Like anything else, if you’re not gonna run it monthly, winterize it by drainIng it of all fuel. Next use just add fresh fuel, it’ll start right back up no problem.
Btw The key to starting Stihl product cold is close the choke, pull it until you hear it almost start, then immediately switch open the choke, and it should start within few pulls.
The key is switching the choke when you hear it almost start, if you don’t it‘ll flood and not start period.

My Echo chainsaw started on the 3rd pull after sitting for 2 years with 2 year old gas...ran a bit shitty on the top end because the carb diaphragms were hard after 12 years...but $4 later we're back in business...with the same gas. Any 2 stroke that "won't start period" without a special process is a POS.

I have one very similar to that, with a brush blade and handles/back strap. Used it to clear the bushes and oak scrub out of our creek...15+ years ago, now just sits in the shed. Will sell VERY cheap.

So it didn’t run Right and you had to do work to it. I wouldn’t brag about that. If we’re gonna play one upzy’s. I hired a Gardner and let my Stihl weed eater sit 3-4 years with treated fuel, but Stihl got it start after 10-15+ pulls, but that’s was fluke kinda like your Echo starting. I’m was just posting what Stihl recommends and what works. 25+ years of working as Linemen w/tree trimmers and fallers and have used every type of Chainsaw under the sun. Stihl Is most reliable and best performing saw out there, and dominates the utility work market, followed by Husquvarna. Echo doesn’t last in a mans world, So keep your Echo Bayliner and I’ll stick with my Stihl Schiada.....;)

Stihl is all I buy. I have the 131 combi tool and stihl saws. I have the brush cutter attachment and it’ll cut down small trees. it’s not too bad if you’re wearing the harness to support the weight and you better have a face shield. All we run at work, from our handcrews to truck companies- its all Stihl.

@HocusPocus ,Just sort of wondering if you ever received any updates after them THIEVES!!! went around CA breaking into all those Stihl shops about 2 years ago now?

Nope, never heard anything. We were lucky and they didn't get away with much, some shops were cleaned out of 10-20 thousand dollars of Stihl stuff.
