Thats pretty rad. Is red wing doing the re-sole, or a local cobbler?
The place I take them to used to be a Redwing dealer. But they changed owners so now I guess they’re just a regular cobbler? Soles don’t say redwing.

I have 2 pairs of the same boot that I switch back and forth on which has made all of the difference. The “newer” pair is 9 years old lol.

Roofing, I'd shred my Redwings in just about a year. Soles thin, stitching coming undone, eyelets worn through or thin and steel toes exposed. I now get about two years out of a pair. Kind of sad though, the model I like has been discontinued. My wife bought me my current pair for Christmas this year. This pair came from Chandler AZ...the only other pair left in their system was Vegas.

I may have to be barefoot in a couple years. I've worn the same model boot everyday, 18hrs a day for 20 years. I have sandals for when going on the water, sneakers while at the gym...and a pair of 25yo dress shoes for weddings and funerals. Hell, my boots are like a part of me!

I saw "10 year old boats" and thought I was clicking on a thread about how they're worth twice as much these days, and then saw a pair of boots and was like huh? 🤣
