We left Havasu early this morning (like 7:30 CA time), traffic was heavy but moving. Slowed down a little in all the usual spots and you could see how backups were forming for later.

I'd never leave Sunday as that is guaranteed major PITA, and even leaving mid to late Saturday is going to be more typical backup traffic.

Its just pay to play.

Drove home from visiting my mom in Tucson, the 8 was nice and easy.
Only issue is that 55mph while towing BS

Made from Emerald Cove to San Dimas 240 miles, took right at 5 hours, so a little over an hour extra.
Can't imagine what tomorrow will be like.

Normally we come home on a Monday or Tuesday but we both have been sick most of this trip...
Good to be home!

When we did Parker Thanksgiving, Sat night we packed up early, and hang with friends, But would be on the road before the sun came up Sunday (before 4am), Traffic was never an issue unless we hit a wreck, and we would have breakfast in OC. It was always a leisurely drive.

Yeah not looking forward to the drive home tomorrow from Calico.
Take the 15 south, exit Barstow Rd / 247 in Barstow and head south.

Right/West at stop sign onto Hwy 18 in Lucerne Valley.

Left on Bear Valley Rd into Apple Valley.

Left/south on Central Rd, take it to the end of the road.

Right on Roundup Way, continue past stop sign at Kiowa Rd as it turns into Rock Springs Rd. Pass the Shell station on the left and cross the Mojave river.

Left/South on Main St/Arrowhead Lake Rd.

Right on Ranchero Rd.

Left on Summit Valley Rd at the Hesperia Airport (just before you go under the train tracks)

Right on Hwy 138 at the stop sign/gas station/country store.

There will be traffic on 138, but this route will dump you halfway down the pass and avoid the 15-south mess.

Be careful on Summit Valley Rd and 138, people have been driving like complete psychopaths on those roads lately.

Left Parker at 6:15 AZ time this morning, home in Carlsbad in 3hrs, 35 minutes…257 miles with a Poty Stop.
You could tell in another hour or so the 10 was gonna start getting tight about White Water when we went through there.
Might be a wise choice to go over the hill into Anza and come out in Temecula if you’re heading to North County.
Check your Maps App!

Nice drive into Rancho Cucamonga from Havasu this morning. Just had to leave at 5:00AM California time. Glad I didn’t leave last night. Sounded like a shit show.

We left Indio at 9:50 and it was 2 1/2 hours to get home to Orange. Was in a motorhome towing, so not in a huge hurry. Slow going through Banning and then easy.

Left Ocotillo Wells at 5:45am and everything parked on the side of the house in Murrieta by 8:30am.

Went the back way up through Warner Springs and into Temecula to avoid the 10 freeway. A train of motorhomes and toyhaulers but we all kept a good pace.

Thats the way I always go, everyone seems to move at a decent pace no matter the day...but every once in while you get an accident or a breakdown blocking a lane and then you are screwed...we rode all day Saturday and left around 5:30pm and was home in Canyon Lake before 8pm.

I’ll vary between the two way. When going the long way down the 10fwy I'll stop at Red Earth Casino in Salton City to dump the tanks but lately I’ll dump tanks at Temecula RV Supply mid week. The girlfriend likes the scenery of the drive coming into Temecula better too.

This time all the kids and the GF were mouth breathers and passed out the whole way. That was until I switched the playlist to 90’s rock metal and turned the volume up to 11

😂😂😂

When i was still coaching baseball there was a massive tournament in Palm Springs. We were lucky enough to win it a few times but we played on Sunday in the finals. On Thanksgiving weekend, the traffic was insane. It took me 5 hours to get back to HB. I miss coaching but don't miss the drive home at all.
