That is a slick way to store the ball joints. The Keller ball joints work as long as you are on top of them maintenance wise. I had almost 8,000 miles on my stock ball joints on my first X3. Replaced them all and the next trip - Barstow to State Line (Vegas) my frame said no more and broke...

Those Keller ball joints are nice, but you have to keep on top of them to make sure everything is tight. My friend broke two of them in Glamis.

What broke on the Can Am? The owner has an interesting tire and wheel choice. Must have horrible steering feedback with those wide off-set wheels.

I will have to add the piece of tube to the parts and the large c-clamp. Good idea. Baja trips make for some good fixes and great adventures.

I keep a socket that fits the balljoint and a small sledge hammer with me in case one decides to go. I also carry extra ball joints. On Baja trips I bring a lot more stuff for the "just in case".

Those Talons in race trim do very well. The Proctor Racing Talon (the 4 seater) is still one of the best looking race UTVs.
