Well, you guys can still get your Cold Weather Bundle in time for Christmas! Speed just posted on Facebook that they are still available!
Disclaimer - they didn’t state Christmas of what decade
Someone prior mentioned Robby being weird about people making money off him. This is beyond true... I don't recall the company, but a fab shop started to build roll cages for the Wildcat XX. After releasing, Robby sent them a cease and desist letter, quoting infringement and threatened to sue...
I am in the low 3000 range, which I would agree is actually a good thing. The first couple hundred will hopefully be enough to find the majority of supplier and assembly issues. By waiting, I also imagine the spare parts availability will have increased.
Mentioning spare parts, I doubt...
Pending on the race, the courses are modified. The majority of the ones racing are highly modified, to the point it’s not even a RZR anymore. A lot also has to do with the driver. You can put a great driver in a lightly modified Can Am and beat a poor driver in a trophy truck.
As mentioned, in the post, that was mid-build photograph. In has DSC IBP shocks and hydro bumps. I will dig up a photo later on the Dana 60…
The suspension hard points on that Jeep were designed by a King of the Hammers / Baja 1000 race team. Since they designed it, it only got improved upon...
If I didn't sell it almost two years ago, you would be on. I took this Jeep and my Polaris RZR Turbo S 4 down the exact same trail days apart. The Polaris was being tossed around and couldn't even stay in the whoops. Meanwhile, the Jeep cruised at 70+ MPH as if nothing was happening. That's what...
Exactly! I have repaired countless Jeeps that had wallowed out mounting holes due to cheap designs/not being double shear. The design of the Speed car is truly a downsized "trophy truck" and not an upsized "ATV". All we can do is hope the paper meets the pavement and this thing rips.
Nope, sorry. I don't see Robby as an idol either. His racing career is full of controversies and cheating (do your own research). Doesn't mean the man doesn't know a thing or two about off road design though...
Getting through whoops has a lot to do with wheelbase and suspension design...
This statement is hard to make, either in favor of Polaris or Speed. To much is unknown in regards to Speed and the Polaris. But what do we know?
Speed is utilizing proper tube thicknesses throughout the entire frame and cage. Polaris it not known for using proper grades or thicknesses of steel...
Not to be a jerk, but this statement tells me the Speed car is not for you (really want to clarify, not a personal insult). Have you ever dropped $10,000 on shocks? $12,000 on custom built axles? $6,000 on suspension hard parts? As I mentioned briefly above, Polaris/Can Am/Honda/Kawasaki are all...
I don't believe Speed UTV is looking to scam future owners. As LOF mentioned, they have invested around $12M of investor dollars (4,000 deposits x $3,000 each). I can only imagine the actual costs far exceed the $12M, meaning Robby/Todd must have invested personal funds, along with other...
This is true on paper only. We know nothing about the vehicle outside of Speeds own press releases.
We have no past history to base performance/reliability upon. For all we know, the Speed could be plagued with constant drive train or electronic issues. This is an issue us early adopters are...
That's actually a true statement anymore... The return on my Speed car (if sold at current market) is around 14%. I wouldn't call a return of that amount "bad". On the other hand, my Amazon returns are negative...
The Stop Ride is fake. With that said, the message within the Stop Ride is realistic.
I had to lemon law out a 2019 Dodge RAM 1500 after spending months in the dealership service department... What I typed above was just from memory/email logs between Speed and myself. Haven't seriously...
The short term is most likely an issue right now. They have tens of millions (guestimate) invested in the manufacturing process with zero sales to speak off. Every month the cars don't ship, I imagine Speed is loosing a metric ton of money. As far as ordered cars are concerned, I would bet a...
I love boating as well, but strictly ocean based. Once you go big, its impossible to go small...
Picture of my old 1989 Bayliner 2302 Walkaround (sold when PCSing from Alaska).
Had a brand new Honda BF225 with 8 hours when I bought the boat for $8K.
The boat did provide some really nice...
Two accounts for the new guy... how confusing!
Created an account using a .Live email address and never got confirmation emails. Decided maybe it was an issue with the forum and .Live accounts... Created an account with Gmail; same thing. Emailed Dave via the forum controls asking him to...
