Decided we're going to upgrade our dual-sport car to a 5.3L LS engine. Any input on a digital dash that will handle desert environment? Leaning towards a Holley EFI standalone system for it too.

Bajastu, did your type IV run warm? It seems like this engine runs way warmer than our previous 1600 and 1914 engines in other cars (Ive seen just north of 220 deg on this car with a remote oil cooler); granted I did not have am oil temp guage in those engines.
