I never look at mine. never did with my first son and with our 3 month daugther still dont. But they have a system called angel care which can detect movement and if the baby stops breathing for 20 seconds it sets off an alarm. Thats one choice

I have a single and a double and love them. So worth the money and they hold their value so buying used still cost a lot. Look on Craigslist or ebay. a used single will probably run about 250 and you want the revoulation one. and a double used will run about 350.
