Thanks for the reply. Tore it down today. Turns out it was the shifting fork and top spacer and bearing. Seems like a simple fix. Its at the outdrive shop now waiting on parts. I think we caught it before it let go completely. All gears and shafts are in great condition. Wish me luck on the repair.
Well I was at the lake today and everything was running normal. Stopped to take a break. Got back in and put in in reverse and there was nothing. Goes into forward just fine. Hopefully just a cable. Anybody else have this problem? It’s a Imco extreme advantage

I had a 2003 Daytona w/496HO. Ran great. Did 80 all day and good out of the hole . It was perfect for me. Had to sell to buy a house. Now looking for another one. I’m in love with Daytona’s.
