ok, put the boat in the water Friday afternoon, ran great. ran it at different RPM's breaking in the cam even up to 5500 a few times, now it needs a taller prop going to try a 24p on it soon
the camshaft has a lifter grind .576 lift 246 duration@ .050 on both intake and exhaust and its ground on 108 degree lob separation. says it makes maximum power in the 2500-6500 range. the cam is a elgin indust. e1143p
haven't thought about this place in years.had family that lived there, used to go there all the time in the early 80's. the fishing and how the salt dried on your skin after you dried off is so true. this was a dune buggy paradise.
had an 05 duramax 240k on it, replaced some injectors, water pump and glow plug CM that's it. person that bought it is still driving the crap out of it.
on the water pump it says RH out and LH out, which one does the inlet from the outdrive go on? I have heard that some say it doesn't matter but I really don't believe that. thanks for the help.
My plan is to install the engine in 2 weeks, waiting on a few more parts. one ?. I put back on the stock intake manifold, is it worth the money to put and after market one on and if so what do people recommend.thanks
YEP, AND I SAW THAT SOMEONE ELSE BOUGHT ONE OF THESE ENGINES A COUPLE WEEKS AGO ON HERE AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE CONTACTED A FEW PEOPLE WHO ALSO BOUGHT THESE ENGINES ON EBAY AND NOT A ONE OF THEM HAVE LASTED ANY LENTH OF TIME, I DONT KNOW HOW THEY STAY IN BUISNESS.
