It is! I'm looking to get one this year. It is hard to find much real world info on them. I'm in Ohio and a fav spot would be lake erie. The lake is never really calm I don't think. And I'm curious if anyone has had one in rougher waters and how it does. I don't recall which lake out west, but I remember one popular lake being considered pretty choppy most the time.

And then there is price. It's hard to gauge what a fair value is. I've been watching them for the last few years. They seem to take along time to sell and the prices seem to have to come way down before they do sell. With the exception of 1 I missed out on last year that listed for 40k and actually sold the same year, albeit later in the season. 2 are for sale now. A really nice one for 55k and an average one for 48k. I don't think the 48k sells until it gets in the mid 30's. The nice one to me is comparable to the one last year that sold for ~40k. To me its a 40-43k boat. But with so few of them its hard. But who knows...

I've just been watching them for a long time and I love the Vee and the open deck and I want to get a boat again. I've been looking at MCOB Halletts and Nordics and some open bow Howards and Halletts to consider too, but the rush is just calling my name I think

If you are gonna be in rough water I’d be looking at a Hallett over the Nordics.. they have a much sharper entry and will ride smoother if you can keep the nose in it. 270-300-335-340

The 335’s and 340’s can be had for a lot of value for what they are..

I guess determining what rough water is too. I've heard lake of the Ozarks is similar to Lake Erie.
How would a catamaran deck boat do in these situations? I've never been on one, but the Hallet 260 looks like a nice boat
