…The gardner that…I’ve had for over 30 years drives a totally thrashed…. I guess it’s a Toyota Tundra pick up… It has been wrecked impounded and who knows what else… But it still runs… A couple of months ago he showed up in a brand new shiny red Ford pick up… Probably a $75,000 truck… he swore it was his son-in-laws…or his sons… who knows what the truth really is🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm the last guy in the tract that mows his own lawn and prunes the Rose Bushes.

A lot of guys in our neighborhood have wifes or GF's that make big bank.
All that is required of them is they pull a paycheck.
Counter guys at O'Reilly's, 4 hours at Starbucks,, do oil changes at Walmart Auto center.

Nice homes, nice rolling stock, not one of them has a skill of any worth.

My gardner has 3-4 Nissan Vans. His personal truck is a badass GMC 4x. He’s more of a landscaper than a gardner.

Kinna the same for me. He sends his guys out for us, and a bunch on my neighbor's.

I tip the guy that comes well, and he takes Good care of us. Even picks up the dog turds! 👍🏼

If they got a sugar mama, I’d say they have at least one skill.
I’d say he’s cutting and selling grass if has a multi million dollar car lol.
You can use these clippings for
“MULCH”.

My gardener drives an old beat up mini truck that looks like it doesn't run, full-on target for ICE if you ask me. At home I'm sure he drives a G-Wagon or an F150 Limited with the 22" wheels and aluminum trim.

Last year the kid i use got a new chevy 1500 with a nice trailer. When he started out it was a lot different, old truck and falling apart trailer.

He works his ass off, his pricing is fair and they do a great job. I am happy to support him and his company.

My Gardner has a clapped out Tacoma. Guys rolling on the dl for sure though. Nicest guy I’ve ever met literally have had beers with him mid grass trim. He tells me about his house in corona and how he has 100s of people in his backyard for his family’s party’s and how he cooks a wild amount of carne asada at a time. Went to the meat market he suggested a few times. Really fuckin good to be honest. I’d be willing to bed he has a significant amount of money under his mattress though.

… Just got home from a brunch with some people from high school… @NEIGHBOR GIRL and her eight month old …and my gardener was here,…but he was at the house next-door… This is his timeless, classic Toyota Tundra.🤷🏽‍♀️… I forgot to mention about the time a guy ran him off the road or cut him off something like that…so he pulled the guy over and they got into an argument…I think the guy took a swing at him…. Gardner pulled a machete out of the back of his truck… consequently my Gardner went to jail and was under house arrest for some months 😱..,

Ours drives an old van. Charges $65 a month, older Hispanic guy that doesn’t speak much English, disappears to Mexico a couple times a year for a couple weeks at a time. Almost got rid of him during covid but the break even buying new lawn equipment is tough to swallow.

My Gardener and the wife’s house keeper were both let go around 2012. They are both missed. Just don’t want to go back down that road as nice as it would be, at lease yet. My old Toro lawn mower is on its last leg. While I know better than to buy a battery powered lawn mower. I must admit, it’s tempting. Looking at the Toro 60 volt mowers. Looks like you can find them new on Facebook with battery and charger in $300 range. About half the price of retail.

My landscapers drive company trucks.

I pay too much for yard maintenance, but I got tired of riding herd on unreliable guys with drinking problems, so I went with a fairly large and well-organized company.

I’m been watching the development of robotic mowers, and hoping they get to the point that I just need a service for weed control, mulch spreading, and tree and shrubbery trimming. None mow well enough yet, but a few seem to have the navigation part down.

I was fully expecting one of you to say a bicycle, because your kid is your gardener.

What happened to kids chores lol.
My kid is getting smarter....I asked him yesterday to cut up a few palm fronds that fell off the tree and mow the lawn...

He grabbed the pole saw and cut down a few more dead ones, which of course filled up the trash can, informed me that there's no room for grass clippings so it'll have to wait till next week....and of course he's in Mammoth next week, so I get to do it.

My parent's old gardner was pretty cool. Started off in 96 or so with a beat up Toyota, alone. Then him and a helper. Then a Nissan hardbody, the Toyota and 3 helpers, as they got 3 other houses. Every few years, trucks and helpers were upgraded, as he added crews. Enrique was bad ass, worked every day, did commercial properties on weekends. Was always Friday at my parent's house.

When Pops passed away, he and his wife...a white lady, fluent in Spanish and also a crew runner...came by and gave my mom a big fruit type flower arrangement, and big meal plate. It was after hours, and they were in an Escalade.

My gardener drives a Prius and a clapped out 50's Massey 🤣

What’s the difference between a landscaper and a gardener?

Skin color and choice of beer.
