Looking for a place to stay with the wife for a few nights nights mid week here at the end of the month. Any recommendations? Never been.

I just drove down and called around for an available B&B.

I doubt there is a Bad place to stay there. 😎

Yeah, you can get some cool little "key west shacks" all around off of Duvall pretty easy on Airbnb / VRBO. Hotel wise, La Concha is cool mid block Duvall. The Marker is right off of Bite Marina (the main marina) and next to Half Shell Raw Bar, Blondies, etc. Opal, Pierhouse, and Hyatt Centric are all on the water off of the bay. The Reach is on the other end of the Island near southern most point (used to be the Wholdorf). I've stayed at all mentioned above and you can't go wrong with any of them. and then there's all types of 1920's built funky little hotels through out the city near Duval that are pretty cool. STayed a bunch of them as well. Like I said, throw a dart. Pick a place, you'll be fine. The little shacks are usually the cheapest. Stay away from the hotels out by the airport, they are cheaper but they're away from down town and the abilty to stumble back to your room.

Have fun! Post some pics. Key West is my happy place. We're already booked for the worlds / poker run in Nov. Staying at the Opal

That place is cool. Daughter stayed there a couple years ago and we all hung out in her room and swam. LOL

Perfect! Just what I was looking for. There are so many choices it’s overwhelming. I’ll stick to your list and pick one.

No, but then again I may just be adjusted to it. Winds should be dying down and rains should be lessened this time of year as well. When I was a “tourist” the Hyatt down by Simonton was our go to place.

Thanks wife turns 40 mid may and looking for somewhere we've never been. We were in the Tampa are last June more inland golfing and it was wild the heat and humidity. The beaches and pools it was awesome.

Whatever you do, and I tell everyone coming to the Keys. Make sure you get out on the water in some way, jet ski tour, fishing charter or trip to Dry Tortugas. “Danger Charters“ for a nice sunset cruise with wife for birthday would be nice. 😊

Any recommendations for scuba diving? We would dive 4 to 5 days on a week long trip ideally. I have been checking out the amoray dive resort, supposedly the only full stay dive resort in the USA where you stay and dive all in one place, much like we are used to in other countries.

My Danger Charters T shirt is starting to get a little faded. Love Key West!
