Hi There! New to RD and have been on the web for weeks now trying to figure out what to do with the bies and this place seems to be the most knowledgeable boat people with so many of you guys are working on cool stuff. Its a 1959 biesemeyer 16ft sitting on the original trailer from bies in 59.This Boat has been in the family for 30 plus years. About 10 years ago the velvet drive was slipping a bit so dad pulled it apart and bought a new one. Soon after,dad got sick and the boat just sat garaged with a new velvet drive sitting on the floor. Dad just recently passed away and now I have the boat and are trying to figure out what to do.Thinking a full resto would be proper being that we spent so much time in this boat throughout the years.i was thinking about having the island boat shop do the resto on hull and stringers to get this boat back to one!! I joined RD for any help on this boat and to see if anyone has any info on bies and how to tackle this project?!!
