So, what the hell is this story now?

It’s a warning that perhaps more administrative due diligence should be applied when creating these group chats on encrypted and secure messenger apps. Still, while alarming at first, the hubbub is dying down quickly. This story in The Atlantic that secret war plans were disclosed to known anti-Trump fake news writer Jeffrey Goldberg, who was accidentally added to the group, is falling apart faster than a skiff made of paper.

If this is the person responsible for adding Goldberg, why the fuck was this douche on it in the first place?

Hey Alex, set-up a Signal with x,x,x,x,x,x and x.

Ultimately lands on Waltz and all the rest if they could indeed see who's on it, but if the Signal address was just the initials of JG, I suppose it could have been overlooked by others, especially if there is a JG that's legit in some agency.

It's looking more and more like a set-up.

My question is, why was Wong involved at all?

Who knows what the Intelligence agencies can do with someone else's phone? I sure as hell wouldn't put it past them, they are under attack and rightfully so.

I have to agree with you here, they should release the entire transcript of the group chat not just parts of it as shown above.

They have assured America that there was no classified material such as weapons packages or targets so there is no reason not to release the entire transcript.

It is what Trump would demand on social media if the Biden administration had done this, so I can’t imagine any reason Trump or his supporters wouldn’t agree to release the entire transcript.

8-10 years ago I would have put you in the flat earth society members ranking for that post. Unfortunately now, there is a real possibility this all was a set up.

I kind of go with Occam's Razor approach on most of these and at this point figure someone really fucked up adding him. But that leads us to the question of why would that person have that reporters number/contact tee'd up in the first place?

Yep. Either Goldberg or the Trump administration is lying. There is no other possible factual conclusion.

Here's how it works @530RL :

Trump says: "If you attack our merchant or naval ships, we will respond with precision attacks taking out your combatants."

TDS Card Carrying Members read that and say... "See, Right There! They are discussing war plans! We finally got him this time boys!"

Everyone else... "Yeah, seems about right. You attack us, we will respond and attack you back."

So tell us Oracle, which response do you fall in?

That’s not a classified war plan. A classified war plan is X weapon systems on Y targets at Z time frame. Things that would put our servicemen at risk.

We all know that Russia and China can follow Signal chats, as does the US intelligence apparatus.

So that is the question. It has nothing to do with my TDS or your TST. It’s just a factual question. You need to try to be less emotional about these rational questions.

We are not talking about criminal activity but basic incompetence. About showing less judgement than even HRC.

However I am not surprised that you believe HRC is the bar for competence. It makes total sense.

Emotional? lol... Uh dude, you have been menopausal with your TDS for almost the last decade. If you read me being emotional in my post that is a reflection of you. I'm just putting out common sense here.

Have you actually listened to the press briefings they have discussed on TV. Listing specific types of weapons, their capability, there general global locations, and when we would use them? Given your "objective" take on this here, then I guess during all those press briefings they were discussing war plans. Nice try buddy. The only people falling for your bullshit are the ones that can't define a man or women and think burning Tesla's is for the greater good of the world.

Once again, you find yourself on the wrong side of common sense.

Really? Compared to the judgement of the SoS at the time having an unsecure private server in her home? And when asked about it's security her response was that the SS was at the residence. Then after refusing to turn over the subpoenaed server her tech guy wiped it with bleachbit and when she was asked if it had been wiped her response was you mean with a cloth? Not to mention that her tech guy Bryan Pagliano ignored a congressional subpoena to testify about the server that he set up. Is this the judgement to which you're comparing SECDEF to?

Then release the entire transcript. It will show if they disclosed on an open network specific targets, weapons and more importantly timing which would give someone a heads up and put our servicemen at risk.

It is that simple. Just release the entire transcript.

Why would anyone be against that?

  • “1215et: F-18s LAUNCH (1st strike package)”
  • “1345: ‘Trigger Based’ F-18 1st Strike Window Starts (Target Terrorist is @ his Known Location so SHOULD BE ON TIME – also, Strike Drones Launch (MQ-9s)
  • “1410: More F-18s LAUNCH (2nd strike package)”
  • “1415: Strike Drones on Target (THIS IS WHEN THE FIRST BOMBS WILL DEFINITELY DROP, pending earlier ‘Trigger Based’ targets)”
  • “1536 F-18 2nd Strike Starts – also, first sea-based Tomahawks launched.”

I agree . But don't you think if the Atlantic already had everything from the texts wouldn't release it .

I suspect they believed that the administration would take responsibility, acknowledge the importance to everyone in the administration that they should use secure networks, and implement plans to prevent it from happening again. And by doing so, no one including the Atlantic would have to disclose sensitive information.

But the administration has taken a different strategy in an attempt to discredit the recipient of the texts, as opposed to owning up. The Atlantic now has been put in a position where they have to choose what to disclose and not disclose and whether or not they are violating the law by disclosing the specifics.

This could have easily gone away, but the fight is now on unfortunately.

JUST IN: Karoline Leavitt announced Elon Musk and his team will be investigating how a fake news reporter was added to the Signal group
“Elon Musk has offered to put his technical experts on this… to ensure it never happens again.”
If this was a setup, Elon’s about to blow it WIDE OPEN.

The Atlantic did not have to publish anything. They could have contacted the administration and informed them of the breach, without choosing to benefit from the creation of a news event.

This has setup written all over it……

Fair enough.

So your view is that when the media found out about HRC’s private server they should have not disclosed it? They should have just “contacted the administration and informed them of the breach”?

Same with Watergate and other similar items. That is the role of the media in a free society?

Putting the Atlantic and Goldberg up on some pedestal is laughable. This whole thing happened a week ago so IF anyone believes Goldberg that he had the safety of our military in mind you're a fucking fool he could have reached out to Waltz to inform him of the mistake and let them decide whether to proceed with the strike. But no he waits and breaks this the day before Trumps intel members are going to be on the hill. Fuck him.

And fuck all of the grandstanding demoasshats that are asking for resignations but never once did after 13 Marines were killed at Abbey Gate.

Silly question, why is the top brass of the most powerful country in the world using a message app that is privately owned and developed? Why would anyone trust this company, that is operated by a company I believe headed by a former Google CEO? Oh, and the program was developed by Open Whisper Systems...which received funding from the "Open Tech Fund"....a branch of USAID.

Just some things to think about. Back to pointing fingers...

Didn't Biden and co implement Signal on Gov devices in December 2024?
View attachment 1490471

I do agree using any outside app with non .gov users included is dumb.
It wouldn't surprise me that the previous administration did.

I was hoping for better, clearly I had too high of expectations.

It's funny how the left wants "transparency" all of a sudden but been losing their minds with Doge and are the masters of destroying evidence over the last decade. I personally wouldn't give them squat no matter how bad the screamed.

Can you imagine the threads in here, the tweets from Trump and the outrage by the TST's if the Harris administration had done the exact same thing if they won the election.

The hypocrisy is just joyful to watch.

When the right starts destroying evidence and topics like these become the normal in this administration then you have a point. Let's be honest here though, good or bad Trumps administration has/is more transparent by a long shot. Biden had the least amount of interviews and press conferences. He also answered very few questions and usually stormed off stage for obvious reasons.

I have to agree with you there.

They are so transparent they include reporters in strike packages, strike times and even names of covert operatives in country.
