Ford is still hanging in there…

Who has bought a ford anything, other than an F150?

Is their SUV line selling that strong?

My financial guy said to proceed with caution right now as if the USA is going to go into a recession (possible) there will be further opportunities to buy at lower prices than where they are right now.

Isn't sold on TSLA unless it drops 50% more

He always smacks me upside the head with reality.....lol

Something to think about where we are in the market at the moment. if we move up 10% we will be back at all time highs. Do you think the economy will be there in the near future? 10% drop and we are in a so called recession.

I had a GIANT and I mean GIANT position in F, sold it at 9.79 on the 7th. Walked away with a huge simile on my face... That smile was wiped off my face today that is for sure lol.

Remember to do the math on the market recovery.
If the market is at 44000 and goes down 10%, it’s then at 39600.
Then it goes up 10% from 39600, it’s only at 43560.
It has to recover a little over 11.1% to get back the 10% it loses.
It’s a hell of a lot easier to lose than it is to gain, that’s for sure.

When everyone is calling for a recession that means there wont be a recession. Weren't we supposed to be having one since 2021?

The thing that causes a catastrophic down turn is the thing no-one saw coming.

Rest assured the media will do everything to tank the market or create fear and panic during Trump administration

TSLA had no reason to be up in the high 400's when it was in low 200's when nothing changed fundamentally. TSlA stock was falling before before trump got elected. TSLA wasnt having a great 2024 year as well. So TSLA took off when trump took office really for no reason, IMO. Fundamentally TSLA is facing some big sales decline. I believe what makes Elon great is he inspires about the future. Can he inspire while running Doge?

Model Y was the #1 selling car in 2023. I think they anticipate it to be the best for 2024 but not sure if those stats have been officially released. Robotaxi, Optimus etc etc are stuff going into future valuations. I can see this their stock going to the moon… but right now it’s getting hammered.

The markets will recover the moment the “Tariff Threats” go away…
I expect the turmoil to continue, until then…

Which is why I have $$$ on the sidelines… Trying to pick the best stock/entry points I can get… There are alot of damn good deals in the markets right now…

Now… if the threats on Iran, start becoming Actions… then we could see some short term turmoil…
To be honest… I dont necessarily think the “threats” are baseless… I think one way or the other… Iran is about to have a bad day in the very near future, whether that comes directly from us, or Isreal…

If I am correct about that, how do the markets react… Oil sector will spike short term.. But what will China do? Because they get alot of their oil from Iran… But they are already pissed at us over tariffs.. Maybe the markets drop 400-600points the day of???

Thats my outlook/opinion…

Thoughts on an ETF other than VOO?

Thinking of starting another account that makes small but regular weekly/monthly investment purchases throughout the year. A set it & let it run type of account that receives whatever regular funds might be leftover.

What are the thoughts on a dividend producing ETF or a few stocks for long term accumulation (5-10yrs)?

I don't see the downslide being over, too much uncertainty.

Going long takes balls of unobtainium right now.

New tariff or threat of one daily. Bad for business.
