To me it would be better to relocate animals, but the choice is to raise funds from controlled hunts. Really sad to me as I believe elephants to be highly intelligent and a species that should never be killed, but it is what it is.....managing the population to protect their future.

I respect hunter's rights, but feel many species should not be hunted. Just my personal opinion.

But Elephants are big. They do a lot of damage real fast in a confined area.
I am no expert in relocation, but it's gotta be a logistical nightmare.

The underlying problem is mans intervention and mans encroachment.
But that will never stop so we have to figure out management.
I can't speak to Africas management techniques with any authority, but we have a member who can speak to it and I have to believe he knows what he is talking about, having been there many times, is familiar and knowledgeable about the situation, and had researched and written very informative articles about this very topic.
