2010 Topless 5.7 xt

If you missed at the other site, Here is the (Topless 5.7 xt) Rick Conley and I Ron Baker thought that heck lets builds some boats. We will post as many pics as we can of the process that we went through. I assure you we used the best laminates available. Its just not worth cutting corners. I had brought the boat to two races this year so some of you have seen it. For those of that have not seen it I hope you enjoy the build as much as we did. Thanks Baker

Here is the mold! These molds needed some cleaning up before we got started! Hell!! I wont lie it took 47 hours to cleAn these boys up!!!

We used carbon/kevlar for the stripe instead of color.We also did the stringers the same way.

Tom Peterson built that one. So your saying you have Petersons mold now? I know there were a couple different molds for the placecraft. One like posted above, capsule top and then the non capsule deck. Aslo Petersons mold is longer in the rear. Post up the pics you have of your mold.

As far as i know the elsinore race was cacelled! i am planning to bring the boat to the cp reggatta in blithe or aha on the 14th. Is anyone here going to the reggatta?

I have been playing around with a bowl shim for about a year. I did some track testing and had good results. I have posted this info on the other forum and became a good topic.I believe it simulates approx. one cutt small impeller without cutting it. imade them to move the bowl back. i have seen gains of 100 to 300 rpm.mph varies on motor hull ect... here is a pic and if you are intersted in one give me a call they are only $40.00 plus shipping.Heres a pic.. thanks Ron 623-326-1436

We ran the boat again with a little bottom work and she ran 9.6 et. I am going to work on it some more because she has lots of potential. the boat runs 102 @ half track but i think i am running out of water.(need to install gauge). Once this if addressed she should run 9.0
