I just got banned for the first time ever on PB! Pretty petty BS if you ask me. I guess I comitted some kind of serious sin....lol

I got some good service from Extreme Steam and just started a thread to let the members know. Put up the thread about two weeks ago and people have been commenting.

For whatever reason I guess Extreme Steam is a marked company or something like that.

How the F am I supposed to know this?

F em anyhow....trivial BS....

Tom...Do you know who banned you. I think Jared from Steam Clean was having problems with Admin about spamming on the site without being a sponsor. Rex can probably fix it for you.

What you did wasn't against the rules. If Extreme Steam puts up their own threads and starts spamming then that is against the rules.

What you did is nothing more than what we all do by recommending a mechanic, restaurant, tire shop etc that we had a good experience with.

Remember I mentioned something in that thread about how I couldn't believe it was still up?

That is because something is going on somewhere. Somebody has a hard on over there for Extreme Steam and complains about every little thing they do. I have some theories but I'll leave those out of the open. Apparently it's getting taken too far if you are banned.

I have never been banned and only gave thanks to a fellow board member who did a good job for me. All that other BS I have no idea about. I have done this for years....same exact thing and it was never an issue. Maybe a warning telling me that it isn't appropriate and play ball our way or go home. They can do what the fuck they want. How would a member know this is going on behind the scenes....seriously? I only met Jared once for about 5 seconds when he was doing some trucks for me. Don't you think at least a warning before just slamming another member and banning them would be appropriate? Again, PB can do what they want but does it make sense?

Well then ban them.....not me. Jeez....what about my recent reference to Car Toyz or Savage Marine? That didn't get me banned but now I wonder why? Usually I just respond to a thread when someone is asking. With Extreme I just put one up but again I have no idea of the shit going on behind the scenes.

These are just companies that have taken care of me in the past and I appreciated it. Nothing sinister and so forth. I have no idea who advertises with PB or not.

so to clarify, it is the burden of any company that is not an advertiser on pb to explain to pb members to NOT post "good job" on the pb site... Or not only will the member be given a vacation, but the biz is now a bad friend and vendor for not "looking out."
