From Parker to Bouse. I'm thinking we should take off from Shea road at the sand dunes, at 10:00 am. For those that don't know this area, I'll get some pics from the air next week ( weather permiting ) and post them up, and I'll drive Shea rd. from Parker and give you the exact mileage in from hwy 95 in town. There's plenty of room to park trailer's, toyboxes & such for anybody that might want to dry camp. Right now I'd guess 5 miles in ,at most, from California ave (hwy 95). There also is a riding area just upriver from Badenochs, right on the hwy. I see a lot of people using this area to park & ride out from. I'll see about getting some wood stakes & signs to mark the trail from there over to Shea rd. at the sand dunes, it's about 3 miles, under the hwy & thru the washes. There's room enough for 6 maybe 8 rigs out in front of my place on 94th st., at the top of Lakeside blvd. Riveratmike has made this ride on his 2 wheeler & rhino and say's it's a pretty easy & fun ride

Now that we have a firm date, who all's coming ?

1. Skyskier & family ( anywhere from 10 to 22 riders )

2.

I had a feeling you would pick the first weekend in March :swear my daughter has a play I couldn't miss for anything. Any chance of the following weekend? it's spring break for the Az kids :(

If you guys do a pre-run fly-over, could you check out Earp/Parker falls too?
It's been a dry winter interested to see its condition.
Don't for get your camera.

I don't know EXACTLY where the Earp/Parker falls is, but if you can see it from the air, we'll shoot it. I don't think Wheeler goes ANYWHERE without his camera :D

North of Echo, GPS Coordinates N 34*15. 275’ / W 114* 12. 074’ .

When you find the trail with water running down it then follow it, that will take you there.

Since my house in Havasu is rented in the winter. Where would be a good place to get a room in Parker. The casino?? or should I look for something in Havasu. I also would need a place that is safe for my Rhino which will be on a open trailer.

r we leaving from the dunes accross from echo

Wrong Dunes  This is the best I've got for a map right now. The "RED X" is about 5 miles in from town, on Shea road. Shea rd. is 1/2 mile, maybe, PAST the Chevy dealer, headed to Quartzite. I'm gonna try to go up with Wheeler next week and shoot some pics from the air, weather permitting. I'll "clock" the exact mileage to the camping/parking area FROM the turnoff at California ave/hwy 95. There is a day use riding area at the rd. into Badenochs that could also be used as a takeoff area. It's a short ride from there, under the highway & thru the wash over to "The Red X" on this map. Riverat Mike has made this run a couple times, basicly a powerline road, should be a fairly easy ride with gas station & a couple of bars for "refueling" :D Figures it to be 25 miles or so each way.

We're staying at the Bluewater, we Kryptonite New York chain everything together.
You can park with us if you please and we'll hook you up too.
Got plenty of chain and super locks.

Doesn't look like a whole lot of stuff back on Shea rd. and maybe there is spots out there off the road we can all park? http://www.mapquest.com/mq/7-a_3FQwsPy6d7

Yes, there IS lot's of room to park off Shea rd. That's where a lot of the locals from Parker go for overnight camping & riding. Should be NO problem to get 100 or more campers, toyboxes, 5th wheels, trucks & trailers etc. This where we started the 2007 St. Patricks day poker run from,............there had to have been 150 + people that actualy rode on the run and many of those that didn't go on the trail just hung out until all the riders returned for the H U G E BBQ and payout that was part of the deal.
