The outside righty now has been shot in gel coat, we are using this as a primer / sealer, it will be blocked down to almost nothing and then paint will be the final.

We have a finished part, at least the gel coat on this is done. The back side of the rear bench seat is done, color sanded in steps up to 1200 and buffed, very happy with how it came out. Picking up some clear tomorrow and will finish sanding the inside (once I finished the seat I decided to do a better job inside) going to be hitting it with 400 and 600 prior to shooting the clear. We are going to clear the inside because it's such a pain to buff all the areas inside. Once it cleared I will color sand the transom and we will buff that out but everything else will be left as is... unless I get a wild hair and decide to spend another 10 hours color sanding something that will be 90% covered by floors

Should be blocking the top deck next week.

My wife is ready to kick me out, I have been at the shop 4 nights this week...Was able to give the sand and give the stringers a final resin coat on Wednesday and then decided that the best way to finish the gelcoat was to sand and buff. Spent some time this afternoon /evening and finished sanding, with 240 - 400 - 600 - 1000 - 1200, Inside needs to be buffed and then it is done...

If I can keep my momentum could have this painted and ready for graphics next weekend!!! Started on the deck today, used 80 grit on a 9" growler and then blocked with 150 this evening, trying to finish the rest up tomorrow and Monday. Once I hit the rest of the top deck with 150 I will re-guide coat and block again with 180. Now I just need to get a basic idea for design so Kenny has something to start with...

Thumbs up

:bowd own:
I love the blue with clear on the stringers. Like you said, it's a damn shame so much of it will be invisible once the boat is back together. Are you going to design the graphic or is Kenny? He did an awesome job on the 77 I bought making the bulbous deck rise look smaller with some optical illusion work. He's definitely good at making simple look good and good look easy.

Chris

We are finished blocking... just need to hit the boat with 220 once we roll it back in the booth and she'll get shot all white prior to any colors going down... Hopefully the guys have a little time later this week to shoot her.

Chris, Kenny just wants a basic idea of what we are looking for in design and colors and then he will go from there, not going crazy with stripes all over the place this hull just can't take them. I have picked a Blue and Silver that I like and I am asking him to do what he wants from there so we will see what comes out, I am betting there will be green some place
